A Wonderful Experience In My life

A Wonderful Experience In My Teenege Life
I believe that each and every one of us has the most stupendous experience in our lives that still stay vivid in our minds even though the incident had happened a long time ago. My story begin at 6th of June 2007 at 7.45am during my secondary school assembly, my heart pounding as fast as the speed of light travel while my school counsellor , Miss Ngiao announced a list of students who had been selected randomly by the computer to participate in National Service and I am the lucky one. After that , I found out that I am joining the second group that will only begin the tedious training in March.
My campsite situated at Pasir Puteh , Port Dickson near the seaside where I am able to have a picturesque view over the sea. However, one of the disadvantages of staying near the sea was that during the day, the scorching sun was roasting, scalding and blistering me ; while during the night, I was freeze to death. There were about one thousand “soldiers” who came from different states such as Kelantan, Terenggenu , Kedah ,Johor ,Sarawak and Melaka. I was so enthusiastic to make friends with them , to learn more about their cultures, religions and their lifestyles. Day after day , when time passed away, I began to learn different kinds of behaviours about my friends, some are good and some are bad. Most of my chum there were amiable and charming people ,especially the Malays , they are very nice to me and I like them very much although we are from different backgrounds , religions and cultures. Till now, I still remembered some of them who were quite close to me and they were Sha , Anis , Zah, Mira (my roommate) , Ama (the cute girl that looks like Nadia), Nor and Maheran. We almost do everything together, we also bath together .But, wait, please don’t get the wrong idea, we bath wearing our “sarung” which the Malays taught me how to tied it firmly .It was indeed a very interesting experience having a bath with them while most of the Chinese girls would choose to bath inside the bathrooms with doors , as for me bathing outside with the Malays was more enjoying and time consuming too.
There were many mysterious, ghastly, gruesome stories about ghost and apparition. At first , I don’t really believe in this kind of silly matters, however when time passed I began to believe it as one day I am one of the victims .The real ghost story of mine begin like this: as the Malays had advised me that when we were having our periods, we must always washed our pads thoroughly before disposed them into the dustbin. However , I was very stubborn and it was really disgusting to wash my own pads as I had never done that before. Besides , they also told me not to wear short pants when I sleep but I refused to follow their advise. The next morning , at 5.00 am , when I woke up, I was very shocked to find out that there were three dark brown red spots at the sole of my right foot, however I dint feel any pain at all, and that was the weird part of it. I immediately reported to my commander, and she said this was very hard to explain as she already observed this kind of incident before. After that, the Malays explained to me that was because I din’t clean up my pads , so the “ghost” came and suck my blood when I was asleep. The chill went down my spine as I heard their explanation. From that day onwards , I began to abide their advices. Besides , there were many weird incidents that happened , and one of them were some of the trainees heard somebody was pushing the lockers in their room in the middle of the night while others heard that someone was calling their names at 3.00am and the worst part was the trainees staying at the end of the row noticed that someone was singing their group song in the wee hours. One of my friend , a Chinese guy , we called him Lee had been gifted with the ability to be able to see ghosts. One day , when there was an electrical black out for about ten minutes in the hall at around 9.30pm , he told me he saw a child sitting there waving at him , however I couldn’t see anything as it was so dark and I just kept quiet as I know what he was looking at.

The most thrilling experience was I had the opportunity to gone through the shooting session. Before we were brought to the shooting spot ,the real soldiers gave us a brief talk about the way to hold a real gun ( I can’t remember the model of the rifle) and the safety precautions that we had to considered before we shoot. All the trainees participated in this training session except for those who had heart problems and asthma, and we were given 30 bullets to shoot; 10 bullets for trying session while 20 bullets for our group competition. I was so eager and thrill when it was my turn to shoot. Before we shoot , we were told to insert a small yellowish sponge into our ears and crawl down on the floor with the most professional pose. However , when I shoot for the first time , I can feel the impact of the rifle on my right shoulder, it was so painful ,however there were 29 more bullets to go. At last, we had successfully completed the shooting training and it was a great relief for me and believe it or not I only managed to obtain 12 over 100 marks as I was tiny and smaller while the highest was a Malay guy who score 96 over 100 , however some even worst than me that they din’t score any mark at all.

By becoming one of the trainees in National Service , I have gained lots of experiences and valuable knowledge in my teenage life and I am certainly not regret of joining this interesting programme .

Quotes

This evening, I visited a website that caught my attention ,it is all about quotes from different categories ,such as love, friendship, happiness, money and others. I found it very useful to me , especially when I write essays , thus I would like to share some of the quotes with all of you.

LOVE QUOTES

Woody Allen:
"To love is to suffer. To avoid suffering one must not love. But then one suffers from not loving. Therefore to love is to suffer, not to love is to suffer. To suffer is to suffer. To be happy is to love. To be happy then is to suffer. But suffering makes one unhappy. Therefore, to be unhappy one must love, or love to suffer, or suffer from too much happiness. I hope you're getting this down."

Alfred Tennyson:
I hold it true, whate'er befall; I feel it, when I sorrow most; 'Tis better to have loved and lost Than never to have loved at all.

Allan K. Chalmers:
The Grand essentials of happiness are: something to do, something to love, and something to hope for.

Ambrose Bierce:
Love: a temporary insanity, curable by marriage.

Blaise Pascal:
The heart has its reasons which reason knows not of.

Elbert Hubbard:
The love we give away is the only love we keep.

Quotes About Women

Arnold Haultain:
A woman can say more in a sigh than a man can say in a sermon.

Charlotte Whitton:
Whatever women do they must do twice as well as men to be thought half as good. Luckily, this is not difficult.

Ville Valo:
Women are always beautiful.

Ellery Queen:
The two women exchanged the kind of glance women use when no knife is handy.
Can you imagine a world without men? No crime and lots of happy fat women.

Elizabeth Metcalf:
The rarest thing in the world is a woman who is pleased with photographs of herself.

Oscar Wilde:
A man's face is his autobiography. A woman's face is her work of fiction.
When a man talks dirty to a woman, it's sexual harassment.

Ovid:
Whether they give or refuse, it delights women just the same to have been asked.

Sam Slick:
Every woman is wrong until she cries, and then she is right - instantly.

Simone de Beauvoir:
The torment that so many young women know, bound hand and foot by love and motherhood, without having forgotten their former dreams.

Oscar Wilde:
"As long as a woman can look ten years younger than her own daughter, she is perfectly satisfied."

Dolly Parton:
"I'm not offended by all the dumb blonde jokes because I know I'm not dumb... and I also know that I'm not blonde."

These are some of the quotes that I have learnt online .However , some of the American politician quotes, for instance Barack Obama said focusing your life solely on making a buck shows a certain poverty of ambition. It asks too little of yourself. Because it's only when you hitch your wagon to something larger than yourself that you realize your true potential. It took a lot of blood, sweat and tears to get to where we are today, but we have just begun. Today we begin in earnest the work of making sure that the world we leave our children is just a little bit better than the one we inhabit today. How powerful Barack Obama's words is to the people ,especially to the Americans.

I began to learn more about quotes. kiki.....

Italiannies

Italiannies

This American-Italian restaurant offers diners an authentic Italian setting that is sure to capture the hearts and taste buds of all who come here. I heard a lot of good things about Italliannies restaurants, how delicious are their food and how top notch are their services. I knew I had to give this eminent restaurant which is situated in 1 Utama a try.

Last Sunday , I decided to go with my special friend to have a nice dinner there . Italianness has a very unique looking storefront and from outside it may look a little small but it was pretty large inside. I wondered how they could designed this restaurant that can capture our attentions to explore what special food are they serving and how the restaurant looks like. Besides, Italiannies is well-known for their big portions as what the slogan sounds ," The best way to enjoy Italiannies ,bring friends and a big appetite".

Services were indeed very good. First of all, they served us free bread (was it really free?) which was warm and fresh from the oven .This was a nice starter ,we dipped the bread in the olive oil and Balsamic vinegar and gladly munched on them. Next , here came our first dish -Garlic Chicken Pizza which cost RM 29.90 . You got to love the cheese that they put in the pizza. Sinfully delicious and aromatic. The pizza was coated with thin layer of cheese, moiturizing the rather dry pizza ,so that it is easier to be gulped down. Caesar salad which cost RM 19.90 was our next dish and I can't tell you exactly what ingredients they are using to make this salad and the taste ,frankly is a litlle bit weird , anyway we still managed to finish it. I ordered one ice cafe mocha which was RM 7.90 and I can't believe that my special friend order Iinero teste which is a kind of beer and it cost RM 18.90 ,pretty expensive but luckily my special friend din't drunk.

We spent RM 84.30 just for our dinner , however I really enjoy having dinner there.
Rather than shopping , I would choose to have a nice meal. (maybe)

Last but not least ,I do recommend you guys to have a meal in Italiannies , and you would not regret.

The Way I Study

Studying is to the mind what exercise is to the body .It is wholesome and bracing for the mind to have its faculties kept in stretch. Our mind is like a parachute , it only works when it is open. If you really want the satisfaction and amazing opportunity that life long learning can bring , then "kaizen" is the magic secret. This is one of the principle that I hold during my study.

First of all, why is the word "kaizen" influence me so much? "Kaizen" is famous as one of the cornerstones of the success of the Japanese industry. It is a principle that demands constant, incremental improvement every day . It comes from the attitude that is essential to suceessful warrior training in the martial arts and I hope one day I would become one of them to achieve my dream . Success will not come all at once. Succeess comes only if you commit to finding some small way to improve every day. Every little steps you take , it counts ; it is the accumulation of these little steps that creates the biggest change. Therefore ,study consistently every day really help me a lot. As the saying goes ,"The secret of success is constancy of purpose".

However , during this learning process , I have encountered many obstacles and sometimes failures too. Nothing is perfect in this world , all of us will make silly mistakes in our exams or even silly choices in our life. The most crucial thing is that we should know how to handle the problem or the failures that we face properly as whatever action we take will affect the result. Remember, failing and making mistakes are the only way to make true progress in something new. Failure also fade away as you make an effort .However, to some extent , I believe in luck as we can't predict the outcome of whatever we do , is all depends on God to give us something that we yearn for or take it back and give you later and even refuse to give you.

Furthermore, we must have our own way to release stress , so that we are able to study in a comfortable way. As in my case, during my secondary school, I would go to my aunt condominium 's swimming pool to swim as I find it is the best way to relax. But , now I am still finding the best way to release my tension as I am in KL now, not in Malacca.

Last but not least, I hope that I am able to cope with my study this year.
